Each year Brunswick Democrats host a Martin Luther King Day Community Pasta Supper to raise funds for Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program (MCHPP). As the ongoing pandemic takes its toll on families across our community, food insecurity has grown and our fundraiser is all the more important. We are hoping for record participation this year.
Sandy Holland of Union Street Bakery has generously contributed her culinary skills and we are pleased to announce our pick-up pasta dinner! We have 100 plates available for a scrumptious lasagna dinner and carrot cake dessert on January 18th. Orders will be picked up at Union Street Bakery from 4:30 – 6:30pm. You can enjoy your meal a bit extra knowing that Brunswick Democrats are providing financial support to purchase ingredients and assure all funds raised go directly to MCHPP.
And for those who can, please add an additional contribution so we can meet our fundraising goal! We are pleased to announce that once again an anonymous donor will match all funds raised – so please be as generous as you can.
This community event is hosted each year by the Brunswick Town Democratic Committee to demonstrate our values and support our community. We deeply appreciate our collaboration with Sandy Holland and Union Street Bakery. And next year we hope to be back with an in-person event! Let’s do what we can to raise much needed funds to help MCHPP feed our neighbors in need!” -Trish Riley, Chair
